Bridgette Wessels is Lecturer in Sociology. Her funded research includes: privacy and identity in digital contexts; public participation in e-enabled services; e-social science; e-government; multi agency e-services; social exclusion; ICT in everyday life; mobile telephony; community telematics and policing. Publications include: Inside the Digital Revolution: Policing and Changing Communication with the Public (Ashgate, 2007); Information and Joining up Services: The Case of an Information Guide for Parents of Disabled Children (Policy Press, 2002); papers in The Information SocietyJournal of Computer Mediated CommunicationNew Media & Society, European Journal of ePractice, and Sociology: Thought and Action. She has served as an expert consultant for European Union and British ICT research.
